Privacy Policy

We care about your privacy and want you to understand how information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use Colligo.

Last updated: April 5, 2026

Overview

Colligo helps collectors manage trading card portfolios, research market trends, and connect with other collectors and vendors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.

By using Colligo, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. To submit a privacy request or ask questions, contact us at privacy@colligo-app.com.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Identifiers

  • Name, email address, username, and authentication credentials when you create or sign in to an account.
  • Device identifiers, IP address, and referral codes associated with your account or device.

Commercial information

  • Collection data you add, including portfolio entries, card details, watchlists, trade lists, and preferences.
  • Subscription status, billing history, and referral credit balances managed through our payment processor.

Internet or network activity

  • App interactions, feature engagement, session data, and diagnostic logs used to improve performance and reliability.
  • Referral link click events and attribution data collected through Branch.io deep links.

Inferences and preferences

  • Personalization data derived from your collecting behavior, search history within the app, and feature usage patterns.

Image and scan data

  • Card images submitted through our scanning feature. Images are processed using AWS Textract and Google Gemini for card identification only and are not permanently stored after processing is complete.

Referral and contact data

  • Referral code usage, number of users referred, link click events, conversion status, and credit balances.
  • If you use the in-app share feature to invite others, contact information (such as phone numbers or email addresses) you choose to share is used solely to deliver the invitation and is not retained by Colligo after delivery.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • To provide and maintain the Colligo experience, including portfolio tracking, vendor tools, show discovery, and community features. (Basis: performance of our contract with you.)
  • To personalize recommendations, price alerts, and insights tailored to your collecting goals. (Basis: legitimate interest in delivering a relevant user experience.)
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions, and apply referral credits. (Basis: performance of our contract with you.)
  • To communicate service updates, security notices, and feature announcements. (Basis: legitimate interest in keeping users informed; legal obligation for security notices.)
  • To analyze trends and improve product reliability, safety, and user experience. (Basis: legitimate interest in maintaining and improving our services.)
  • To operate the referral program, including tracking conversions, calculating credit awards, applying credits to billing, and detecting fraudulent or abusive activity. (Basis: performance of our contract with you; legitimate interest in fraud prevention.)
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities. (Basis: legal obligation.)

How We Share Information

  • With service providers that help us host, secure, and operate Colligo, including cloud infrastructure, analytics, and customer support partners. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
  • With payment and subscription processors, including Stripe (via RevenueCat), to manage billing, subscription status, and referral credit application.
  • With Branch.io for referral link attribution and deep link routing.
  • With AWS and Google for card scanning and image processing. Images are not retained by these providers after processing.
  • With other users when you choose to share your profile, collection, or trading activity publicly or within the community.
  • With successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify affected users prior to any transfer of personal information.
  • When required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Colligo, our users, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Referral Program

Colligo operates a referral program that rewards users who invite others to join the platform. This section describes how the program works and how related data is handled.

How the program works

  • When you refer a friend using your unique referral code or link, and that person creates a Colligo account and upgrades to any paid subscription tier (Collector Pro or Vendor Pro), both you and the referred user receive a $5 credit applied to your next billing cycle.
  • Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash. Credits may only be applied toward Colligo paid subscription fees.
  • Credits are awarded only upon confirmed paid conversion. Account creation alone does not trigger a reward.
  • Colligo reserves the right to withhold, revoke, or adjust credits if referral activity is determined to be fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise in violation of these terms, including the creation of duplicate or fictitious accounts, or any activity that artificially generates referral credits not tied to genuine new user acquisition.

Data we collect and use

  • We assign each user a unique referral code and track referral link clicks, sign-ups attributed to your code, and whether referred users convert to a paid plan.
  • Referral attribution is tracked using Branch.io deep links. Branch.io's privacy policy governs their handling of link and device data.
  • If you share your referral link via the in-app share feature, contact information you choose to share is used solely to deliver the invitation and is not retained by Colligo after delivery.
  • Referral link click data for non-converting users is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
  • Referral statistics visible in the app (friends referred, conversions, credits earned) are associated with your account for the duration it remains active.

Program modifications

  • Colligo reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time. We will communicate material changes by updating this policy with a new effective date.
  • Credits already applied to your account prior to a program change will not be affected retroactively.

Vendor referral program

Colligo also operates a separate vendor referral revenue share program for approved vendor partners. That program is governed by the terms of your vendor partnership agreement and is distinct from the consumer referral credit program described above.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, and measure feature performance.
  • Referral link attribution may use device identifiers or cookies to associate a sign-up with a referring user.
  • We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, as no uniform standard for DNT compliance exists. We will revisit this position if a standard is established.
  • You can adjust browser or device settings to limit cookie use, though some features may not work as intended.

Data Retention

  • We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Referral link click data for non-converting users is retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
  • Card scan images are deleted immediately after processing and are never stored permanently.
  • Invitation contact data (phone numbers or emails shared via in-app share) is deleted after delivery and never stored.
  • If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days unless retention is required by law or to resolve a pending dispute. Unused referral credits are forfeited upon account deletion.

Security

  • We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest.
  • Card scan images are transmitted to our processing partners (AWS Textract and Google Gemini) over encrypted connections and are deleted immediately after processing. They are never stored permanently by Colligo or its processing partners.
  • No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including within the timeframes required by the laws of your state of residence. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to protect access to your device and account.

Your Choices

  • Access or update your account information through in-app settings at any time.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting privacy@colligo-app.com. We will process deletion requests within 45 days of receipt, subject to legal retention requirements. We may extend this period by up to 45 additional days when reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you of the extension.
  • Request a copy of your personal information by contacting privacy@colligo-app.com.
  • Opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in any email or by updating notification preferences in the app. Note that deletion of your account will forfeit any unused referral credits.
